A comprehensive directory of professionals in the UAE, FEME Connect is a project of Leilanie Corpuz-Garcia, Rachel Salinel-Los Banos, Christine Garcia-Esguerra and Joanna Austria-Morales who are all studying under the Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship (LSE) program of Ateneo School of Government in Dubai. FEME stands for Filipino Excellence in the Middle East.

GULF TODAY - Filipino entrepreneurship continues to expand in the UAE, with two innovative start-ups unveiled in the last two months.

First is the hassle-free one stop shop Online Box System (OBS), which was inaugurated in Dubai in January.

Last Thursday saw the soft launch, also in Dubai, of the comprehensive reliable directory of Filipino professionals named Feme (Filipino Excellence in the Middle East) Connect.

ABS-CBN - Fifty-three Filipinos in Dubai graduated from the Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship program of (LSE) of the Ateneo de Manila University recently.

"It's basically for our OFWs para ma-improve ang kanilang conditions in life," said Dr. Mario Villaverde, associate dean of the Ateneo School of Government.

ILLUSTRADO - A comprehensive directory of Filipino professionals in the UAE was launched Thursday night, February 4, by four women with the backing of the Philippine Consul General, the heads of the Philippine Business Councils in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, prominent Filipino entrepreneurs, influential professionals and respected community leaders, as well as key media practitioners.
